Today's fast-changing learning environment provides students with an ever greater access to the internet, social networks and computing resources. But doing old things with new technologies will not transform educational practice or outcomes. It is imperative that investment in technology not be about the technology itself, but about enabling students to learn more dynamically and enabling teachers to teach more creatively. Dr. Martin L. Griss is the Director of Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley. With nearly 40 years of experience in software development, education, and research, Martin spent two decades as Principal Laboratory Scientist at Hewlett-Packard and as Director of HP's 70-person Software Technology Laboratory. Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley's transformative software engineering and management education programs have created a novel team-oriented, learn-by doing approach. Martin is a leading authority on software reuse and component-based development . Known as HP's "reuse rabbi", he led HP’s corporate reuse program. Martin leads work on context-aware mobile applications, disaster management, software agents, software tools and process, and component-based software engineering.

Rabbi Arron Ross, Assistant Principal at Yavneh Academy
Rabbi Dr. Aaron Ross serves as the Assistant Principal in the Middle School at Yavneh Academy in Paramus, NJ. In his tenure at Yavneh, he has taught classes in Gemara, Mishna, Chumash, Halacha, and Tefilla, and served for five years as the coordinator of the Middle School Judaic Studies curriculum. He has been a driving force in helping teachers to expand their use of alternative forms of assessment, and he works closely with faculty to help them integrate technology into their lessons and assignments. Rabbi Dr. Ross holds an Ed.D. from Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School, semicha from Yeshiva University, an M.A. in Rabbinic Literature from NYU, and a B.A. in history from the University of Pennsylvania.
Issac Segal, President & Chief Executive Officer, Tegrity (A division of McGraw-Hill Higher Education)
Isaac has been with Tegrity since its founding in 1995, serving as president and CEO since early 2001. He has over 20 years of business-building and product management experience. He oversaw product development and international marketing and sales from Tegrity's Israeli center before becoming CEO. He co-developed business strategy and built the development team that received the Israeli Prime Minister's Award for Computer Software in 1999. Before joining Tegrity, Isaac was a product and program manager at National Semiconductor for FAX and digital voice answering solutions that achieved over 30% worldwide market share.
David Straus, Vice President Product, Kno, Inc.
David leads Kno's product group, which includes product strategy, product management, user experience and support. David has driven marketing and business development for both consumer and enterprise solutions at multiple companies including Hewlett-Packard, OpenVision Technologies (acquired by Symantec), TSW International (acquired by Indus), and OnDemand (acquired by Pega System). David has been actively involved in startups as an executive and investor for the past 20 years.
Evan Wolkenstein, Director of Experiential Education, JCHS
Evan Wolkenstein is the Director of Experiential Education and has been involved with Experiential Education for more than 8 years. He holds an MA in Jewish Education from Hebrew University and a Certificate of Advanced Jewish Study from the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. Evan is a Tanach teacher at JCHS and has been at the school for 4 years.
