*THIS TRAIL WORKDAY IS BEING SPONSORED BY THE PIEDMONT HIKING AND OUTING CLUB.* The rangers at our state parks are woefully understaffed and could use our help. Trail maintenance is only one of the activities that compete for staff and funds already stretched to the limit. Come out this afternoon for a few hours and give back a little to help maintain the trails at Pilot Mountain that so many of us dearly love. We will be assisting park staff in a variety of tasks on the trails in each park. Normal hiking attire should be sufficient with the addition of work gloves. Bring snacks and water. Contact the park for more information. Office Phone: (336) 325-2355.
