Spend a Saturday morning volunteering with the Parks Natural Areas Division / Jefferson Memorial Forest Trail Team volunteers in trail building and/or maintenance activities. This group meets at the Jefferson Memorial Forest Welcome Center on the second Saturday of each month. Learn about trail building specifications, Forest and natural history while helping to assure the trails are open and in good condition for the benefit of the entire community. Activities include maintenance such as weed whipping the trail sides, using loppers to remove overhanging limbs or assisting in putting the finishing touches on newly developed trail utilizing hand tools such as rakes or hoes.
