Abbott for a special presentation on 'Hula Plants', and explore the various uses of plants in hula, including their association with kino lau (the many forms taken by hula deities), related symbolisms and plants of the ku!ahu hula (altar). Dr. Isabella A. Abbott is an internationally known Native Hawaiian ethnobotanist, cultural historian, Bishop Museum Board Member and was designated a "Living Treasure of Hawai'i" in 2005.
