Toyota Lecture Series: Anne Asensio August 11, 2005

Anne Asensio is Executive Director of Design, Advanced Design at the General Motors Design Center. She is responsible for GMs advanced vehicle design studios, which provide a diversity of perspectives for developing concept vehicles and plotting new directions in automotive design and brand portfolio.

In 1997, Automotive News named Asensio ?Automotive Woman of the Year,? and recognized her again in 2000 as one of the top 100 women in the North American automotive industry. Fortune magazine featured Asensio in an article published in May 2001 titled ?25 Rising Stars,? which highlighted next-generation global leaders.

Since 1986, the Toyota Lecture Series has enriched the educational environment of Art Center and the community at large. Eminent speakers have addressed international movements in art and design as well as the cultural, historical and political currents that shape the creative process.
