Toward a Science of Consciousness- Are we there yet?
This is the seventh in a series of biennial interdisciplinary conferences on
consciousness held in Tucson in even-numbered years since 1994. The ?Tucson
conferences? have helped to catalyze the recent development of scientific
research on all aspects of the problem of consciousness.
The Tucson conferences stress interdisciplinary exploration, bringing together
perspectives from philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science,
computer science, physics, biology, anthropology, contemplative traditions, the
arts, medicine, and other areas. A continuing focus of the conference is the
integration of the first-person and third-person perspectives on the phenomena
of the mind.
