Life Begins at 8:30pm 1941 with Monty Wooley and Ida Lupino-Washed up drunken thespian disrputs the lives of all around him until he is given another chance on stage. The sweet, but not sentimental film is veteran actor Wooley's best. His department store Santa is a classis, finding courage in a flask hidden in his beard. A great beginning to the holidays.
The Heat's On 1943 with Mae West, Xavier Cugat and Victor Moore--West looking sensational in her last role for 27 years plays an actress starring in a musical revue while looking for funding for her play Indiscretions. Loads of musical numbers and West dances the rhumba like no other.
