Programme 2 of Monday Night with the stars up on the big screen.
A double bill of Brit Flicks
I Was Monty's Double 1958 directed by John Guillerman with M E Clifton-James, John Mills The true tale, and acted by the real McCoy, of Montgomery's double as the Allies try to fool the Nazi's about their invasion plans. A fascinating and often funny story, forcusing on the person not as a hero, but as an ordinary man who is called upon and irses through his fears and insecurities to become an essential link in the war effort.
Watch It, Sailor! 1961 directed by Wolf Rilla, with Dennis Price, Liz Fraser Great British farce of getting to the church on time. A full broadside of good-humoured fun in the best English tradition-all puns intended. Adapted from the hit stage play.
