Dear Ruth 1947 directed by William Russell with William Holden and Joan Caulfield Hilarious adventures ensue when a soldier returns home to look up his gorgious "pen pal" and finds a slight mix up instead. One of the best forgotten comedies of the 40s.
My Foolish Heart 1949 directed by Mark Robson with Susan Hayward, Dana Andrews. This exceptional film from the J D Salinger story fully deserved its two Oscar nominations. Two lovers are forced to live a lifetime in a few weeks before war tears them apart.
