Toronto Challenge 5k Run June 10, 2007

The Toronto Challenge, which includes a 5k run, and 5k and 1k walks, is the premier fundraising event to help seniors in Toronto's Homes for the Aged. The Challenge also provides opportunities for a wide range of community groups to share in the event for their own fundraising. Last year, the Challenge celebrated its 15th anniversary, raised over $400,000, saw our 25,000 participant cross the finish line and marked 75,000km travelled. You can share in the spotlight that this fun event generates every year in the city.

Participants in the 2006 Toronto Challenge helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for residents in Toronto Homes for the Aged and for organizations serving seniors across Toronto. Over 55 community agencies signed on as community partners and used this professional, well-organized event to help in their won fundraising efforts. Mounted police were even on hand to escort the 1k walkers.

So join us on the second Sunday in June, and get ready for the Challenge!
