Topic
This event is a site visit to IBM's User Centered Design facilities at the IBM Toronto Lab. Several UCD staff will briefly showcase tools they use, work they've completed and processes they use. Breakout sessions will give attendees the opportunity to learn about these topics in more detail by speaking with individual presenters.
Presenters
Presenters include Karel Vredenburg, Michael Zuliani, Jin Li, and Diego Rivera. These presenters are well-known in the Toronto UCD community and beyond through publications, conference presentations, and teaching and presentations to local university classes and professional organizations. Other IBM UCD staff will also be present to talk to you about UCD at IBM.
Directions to the IBM Toronto Lab
There are three entrances to the Lab available. They are:
* South Town Centre Rd.: 1st set of lights west of Warden Ave. on Highway 7. Take this road south and follow the signs to the various parking areas.
* Cedarland Dr.: 1st set of lights south of Highway 7 on Warden Ave. Turn west onto this road and follow it to South Town Centre Blvd. Turn south (left) and follow the IBM signs.
* York Tech Drive: Located off Woodbine Ave., south of Highway 7. Following this road will take you to the Lab's South Parking Lot. Please note, this is a gated entrance and you will require your ID badge to get through.
