Tooth and Nail shines a bright light on the dysfunctional Laney family; their loves, foibles and caustic triumphs. Their modern New Jersey lives are comedically put to the test when the family patriarch suddenly begins living as Peter O'Toole's King Henry II from the classic film "The Lion In Winter" and tests everyone's mettle over a Sunday dinner.
The increasingly renowned Elephant Theatre Company, fresh from its quadruple win at this year's LADCC awards, dives into suburban turmoil with unapologetic glee. Driving the company's evolution into a "destination" theatre, known for its quality productions of original and recent American plays, Artistic Director, David Fofi and Producing Director Lindsay Allbaugh continue their proven success (West Coast premiere of In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, World Premiers of Tim McNeil's Los Muertos and Anything) with Acosta's off-the-rail comedy which threatens to become the company's next break-out hit!
