Kara says: OK Tooobers, here's the deal. It seems from ALL the responses i received on the date, that Saturday, August 16th will work.
There seem to be three options for toobing in the area. Two are on the Bogue Chitto river north of Covington (about 1 hr 20 mins away) and the other is near Baton Rouge (also about 1 hr 20 mins). They all cost about $15 per person and an extra $5 for a tube to float the all important cooler down the river safely next to you. If we have a group of 15 or more we can get a group discount. A very basic tube is included in the price, but if you want to get fancy it'll cost ya.
There are 2 hour and 4 hour floating options for those who are concerned about getting there and back by a certain time.

There has been talk of renting a party bus... just sayin'....
