This fresh production, produced by the Auditorium, shapes the beloved masterpiece of George Frideric Handel's 'Messiah' into an active listening and participatory experience. This soulful jazz-gospel interpretation features two-thirds of the dynamic tenor trio Cooke, Dixon & Young: Rodrick Dixon and Victor Trent Cooke; plus soprano Alfreda Burke; Old St. Patrick's Choir; and a host of Chicago's most talented artists with a full orchestra, under the baton of Suzanne Mallare Acton.
