TRANSFORMATION : ANARCHY : REBIRTH: Rhapsody, psychogeography, urban valentine, freak show, mindwalk and many other things, TOKYO! is a fantasy in three movements that will make you see one of the world's greatest cities - if not any city - with a new point of view.

In the tradition of such films as New York Stories, Night on Earth, Paris Je T'aime and its forthcoming sequel New York I Love You, TOKYO! addresses the timeless question of whether we shape cities, or if cities shape us - while in the process, revealing the rich humanity at the heart of modern urban life. The surreal world of TOYKO! utilizes some inspired visual effects and animation.

"Interior Design" (Dir. Michel Gondry) A young couple move to Tokyo to pursue their careers. The young man takes steps towards his ambition to become a filmmaker, but the woman is less sure of herself and gradually she begins to lose herself in the vast city. Ultimately she under-goes a bizarre metamorphosis that gives her a sense of peace and purpose. With Ayako Fujitani, Ryo Kase and Syumi Ito. Adapted from the comic "Cecil and Jordan in New York."

"Merde" (Dir. Leos Carax) Denis Lavant stars as a mysterious creature who spreads panic in the streets of Tokyo through destructive and provocative behavior. The media dubs him 'The Creature of the Sewers" and he arouses both passion and repulsion in the people of Tokyo -- until the moment he is captured.

"Shaking Tokyo" (Dir. Bong Joon-ho) A beguiling tale about a hermit (hikikomori) who ventures outside in search of love after meeting a pizza delivery girl who faints in his home during an earthquake. To unite with her he must step outside of his apartment after 10 years inside.
