Help us celebrate America Recycles Day 2011

The Chesapeake Chapter of PCMA’s 2011 Service in Sync event will benefits two causes America Recycles Day and the Anne Arundle SPCA. The EPA estimates that the average US citizen throws away 10lbs of clothing each year. Textiles in any condition can be recycled, worn or torn, remember to Donate, Recycle, Don’t Throw Away. A great way to recycle your textiles is to support a local animal shelter. PCMA Chesapeake Chapter will be collecting towels, sheets, blankets and quilts (non fiber or down filled) that will be recycled into animal bedding at the SPCA. If you cannot attend, you can still donate. E-mail a PCMA board member in your area to arrange a pick-up (see list below).
