His father, Tito Puente, was "El Rey" (The King) and now Tito Puente Jr. has stepped into the spotlight as "The Prince" of fiery Latin rhythms. Puente Jr.'s cover of his father's signature tune 'Oye Come Va' earned him a Latin Music Award for Best Video of the Year. Carrying his father's torch, Puente Jr. is reaching out to people of all generations and musical persuasions with his fusion of Pop, Latin Jazz and Dance, laced with influences of Mambo, ChaCha, and Merengue.
