From Puke to Punk Art Activities: Transform those ugly bridesmaid dresses (or anything else wearable) into something attractive, exciting, and fun to wear. Bring your own piece of clothing and items to embellish it. Well show you the rest.


Artist demonstration by Corinne Okada: The mixed-media sculpture artist will create large, funky flower hair ornaments from a blend of mundane and elegant materials. These whimsical floral explosions of wire and wrappers are oversized allusions to traditional Japanese kanzashi hair ornaments and Okinawan dance hats. Come sample the wrapped foods used in her creations and see her work with silks, food wrappers, sushi grass, pearls and an odd assortment of recyclables.
