Times New Viking is a band recently signed to Matador Records. Their upcoming album release, "Cream of Mushroom Cloud Soup," has generated widespread attention in the underground music press and some major sources as well. Musically, this Nebraska based quintet serves up an intoxicating blend of dub reggae and trip-hop, sure to please even the pickiest listener. Endless Boogie is a rock collective from New York and this is their first concert at Tonic's. Chicago post-punk revivalists The Ponys formed in early 2001, inaugurated by singer/guitarist Jered Gummere. He began writing and singing with girlfriend and bassist Melissa Elias and after adding former Mushuganas drummer Nathan Jerde, The Ponys began playing the Windy City club circuit.
