TIME WARNER CABLE TEAMS UP WITH BEST BUY TO OFFER BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPERS A $100 TECHNOLOGY REBATE
National offer to assist families mirrors company commitment to Connect a Million Minds
by enhancing STEM educational opportunities
This year, according to the National Retail Federation, local families will spend an average of $190 on back to school technology purchases. Time Warner Cable and Best Buy have teamed up to find a way to save families up 53% off that national average: new customers will get $100 rebate when signing up for Time Warner Cable’s Digital TV and Broadband Internet services at Best Buy stores located across Time Warner Cable’s footprint.
“This effort reinforces our company commitment to STEM (science, technology, education, and math) education,” said Katie Beardsley, Director, Community Relations, Time Warner Cable, Pacific West Region. “Through our Connect a Million Minds initiative, Time Warner Cable provides the resources for parents to connect their children to after school math and science programs. We’re proud to be able to offer this $100 rebate, in partnership with Best Buy, to help parents fund their Back to School technology needs.”
The 2011 Back To School Campaign, which runs through September 30, will feature sales events, giveaways and in-store Time Warner Cable product demonstrations at most Best Buy locations. New Time Warner Cable digital customers will also have the option to sign up for Digital Home Phone service to receive an additional $50 rebate.
