The Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society's collection of 19th- and early 20th-century paintings is now on display in the Burchfield Penney Art Center's gallery. The paintings capture some of the earliest reflections of the region's growth after the City of Buffalo was chartered on April 20, 1832. This collaboration with the Burchfield Penney Art Center, featuring paintings from its collection as well, is an opportunity to see these historic landscapes and portraits. The expansive exhibition of great paintings demonstrates the riches of mid-19th and early-20th century work.
