Walk through a re-creation of an Internment camp barrack and hear first-hand accounts from presenters of Japanese ancestry as they share their stories of immigration and internment. Students will explore citizenship, constitutionality, and the concept of redress.
Following the program, students will receive a Museum orientation by a Museum Guide. The Guide will then assist the group in completing their "Time of Remembrance" Activity Sheet as they continue through the Museum on a self-guided tour. A free resource packet to prepare your class for this thought-provoking and powerful program is available.
