Vancouver-based artist Tim Lee uses video, photography, and performance to put himself in the place of icons of popular culture. By reenacting rituals of pop culture that are usually the domain of established practitioners or experts in a deadpan style, Lee uses absurd seriousness to blur the boundaries between the ridiculous and the sublime.
