A seminar/demonstration class where participants will gain a basic introduction to recognizing and responding to a child (between ages 1-12) experiencing an emergency. Topics will include recognizing an emergency, contacting 9-1-1, speaking and working with the dispatcher to provide care, demonstration of care of a conscious and unconscious choking child, rescuing breaths and breathing, and a demonstration of CPR. This course is NOT for certification, though participants will receive an Infant/Child CPR skill card to take home. Course also held June 11th and June 14th.
