Thursday Night Live August 2, 2007

The closure will simply allow the community to stroll, dine and enjoy
Castro Street without cars and buses. We are encouraging the
businesses to plan a sidewalk sale and conduct product demonstrations
outdoors. Street music will be provided on certain blocks of Castro
and children's activities are being planned. The California Farmers'
Market Association has agreed to provide a "mini" market in the 300
block of Castro Street.

We expect the first two events to be low key in respect to activities
from merchants on Castro but as the series progresses it is our hope
the merchants and the local community will embrace it. Please visit
