Knights of the Round Table (1953)
The legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table gets a lavish Hollywood makeover in this stately film shot on location in the British Isles. Mel Ferrer is the noble Arthur whose ambition to bring peace and prosperity to England is thwarted by his conniving stepsister Morgan Le Fay and her ruthless son Modred. Robert Taylor wields a mean sword as the heroic Lancelot and Ava Gardner makes a lovely Queen Guinevere.
