The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum is pleased to present its original publication, Through the Eyes of Heroes: A Tribute to San Diego’s Chinese American Veterans.
With funding from the Ellen G. and Edward G. Wong Family Foundation, museum staff members have spent the last year reviewing old records, interviewing veterans, and compiling fifteen years of research into a book that will pay tribute to these brave soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines.
The book release and presentation will be held in the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension building at 328 J Street on Saturday, November 13th beginning at 1:00pm. Some of the veterans featured in the book will speak about their experiences, and a reception with light refreshments will follow in the Chuang Garden at 404 Third Avenue. Admission is $2 and free for members and children under 12.
