As part of the Uncharted: Imaginary Landscapes show at Hayes Valley Market Gallery, three renowned poets, Lisa Robertson, David Buuck and Todd Melicker will be performing their interpretations of landscapes imaginary in a special reading at the Hayes Valley Market Gallery on Saturday May 17th at 7pm. Expect to be entertained and provoked.
Born in Toronto, Canadian writer Lisa Robertson has lived in Vancouver for many years. Her books of poetry include XEclogue, Debbie: An Epic, The Weather, Rousseau's Boat, and The Men. Her architectural essays are collected in Occasional Works and Seven Walks from the Office for Soft Architecture. Robertson was recently the subject of a special issue of Chicago Review. She now lives in Oakland & teaches at CCA.
David Buuck lives in Oakland & teaches at the San Francisco Art Institute & the Language & Thinking Program at Bard College. He is a contributing editor at Artweek & a founding editor of Tripwire. His Bay Area Research Group in Enviro-aesthetics (BARGE) will be part of the Bay Area Now show at Yerba Buena Center this summer. Recent & forthcoming book(let)s include Paranoia Agent, Between Above & Below, Site Cite City, and Stanzas in Mediation.
Todd Melicker daily wanders the streets of Petaluma, Ca, gathering data as a GPS technician. He is the author of the chapbooks, day collects//(Woodland Editions) and the immaculate autopsy (Achiote Press). His work has appeared in such journals as Volt, 26, Five Fingers Review, and The Colorado Review.

Uncharted: Imaginary Landscapes is an exhibition featuring new work from artists Andrew Benson, Heather Brubaker, Dave Hamill, Vera Iliatova, Gisela Insuaste, Charlene Liu, Nellie King Solomon, Marc Williams and Susan Ziegler. In a temporary space, painting, drawing, video and site-specific installation question and re-interpret the space that surrounds us.
