Three Flags Ceremony March 28, 2009

This unique flag-raising ceremony will mark the transition of the Louisiana Territory in 1804 from Spain to France to America. Featured in the lineup will be The Lewis & Clark Fife and Drum Corps, Milicia de San Carlos (St Charles’ Colonial Militia), Corps of Discovery, Morgan Horse Club, a Colonial French Artillery Unit, and other period reenactment demonstrators. A town crier will begin to rally people starting at 10 a.m., with ceremonies in the park at 11:00AM with cooking, mapping, cannon, mortar, musket and other period demonstrations starting after the Three Flag ceremonies. The period reenactment activities will be staged near the Missouri River in center of Frontier Park.

Demonstrations will be from 12:00 (after the three flag ceremony) to 4:00PM
