Festival darling and award-winning short comedy "Three-Fifty" will have it's Asia Premiere at Sapporo Shorts Fest 2009 in Sapporo, Japan.
"Three-Fifty" is the hilarious comedy about a guy trying to weasel out of his late fees at the local video store who discovers that the video store's database has access to intimate details of his past and his future. A comical tale of late fees, privacy rights and just how much information about you is available at the touch of a button.
"Three-Fifty" can currently be seen on NBC/Universal affiliates in Italy.
"Three-Fifty's" world premiere was at Aspen Shorts in 2007. "Three-Fifty" has screened at over 40 national and international film festivals and enjoyed a cable run on Canal Plus in France and Switzerland. Multi-TV Afrique picked up "Three-Fifty" for cable in numerous territories in Africa.
"Three-Fifty" was produced by Power Hungry Film's Melinda Augustina and Purple Present's Jesse Rivard. Written and directed by Maurice Chauvet, "Three-Fifty" was adapted from Chauvet's stage play of the same name. Maurice Chauvet is most known for his adaptation of Owning Mahowny for Sony Classics in 2003.
