THOUSANDS OF RUNNERS WILL HIT THE STREETS FOR THE 16TH ANNUAL CHICAGO HALF MARATHON & HYUNDAI HOPE ON WHEELS 5K - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2012 September 9, 2012

The 16th Annual Chicago Half-Marathon & Hyundai Hope On Wheels 5K will host thousands of runners on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Runners will enjoy a beautiful course along scenic Lake Shore Drive with great views of the Chicago skyline, starting and finishing in Jackson Park.

In conjunction with the Chicago Half Marathon, Hyundai Hope On Wheels, a non-profit focused on raising awareness and funds to support childhood cancer research, will be sponsoring a 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) to benefit the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children's Memorial Hospital). Participants who register for the 5K at www.HyundaiRun4Hope.org will be contributing directly to the fight against pediatric cancer, the leading cause of death by disease for children in the U.S. Registrants on the site will also receive a Team Hope race t-shirt, custom finisher’s medal, access to the Hyundai Hope On Wheels VIP tent on race day, and access to the post-race party in Jackson Park. All participants who pledge/raise additional funds will also be eligible for six levels of great prizes.
