Thought Returns to Headline at Bitter End Saturday, September 20th
Thought makes a successful return to legendary venue Bitter End to headline Saturday, September 20th. The band, who spent most of the summer playing various festivals and promoting their CD, Politics for Kids, are pleased to be coming back after a strong appearance in May.
They have continued to expand their sound since their formation in Buffalo, New York, pulling inspiration from Fela Kuti, James Brown, Sly Stone, Funkadelic and Paul Simon. Politics for Kids, released April 29th , is their first full-length CD, following up the 2007 live EP, Thought Live. The latest work soulfully mixes those influences in a ten song collection that even includes Berlitz-style language lessons.
The band is well-respected for their live shows, injecting fresh energy into their music and thriving off the positive vibrations of an ever-increasing fan base. Many refer to their original, uplifting style as 'universal groove'- beautifully blending music heroes into a creation that is synonymous with no one else but Thought.
