This Is Where the Rubber Meets the Road June 26, 2007

This is an exhibit created by contemporary artist Steve Maloney, consisting of sculptural wall-mounted works of mixed media created with sheet metal and tire rubber from genuine race cars, as well as oil and acrylic. Maloney uses actual logos, signs and numbers from the hoods, rooftops, deck lids, sides and quarter panels transforming racecar parts into sculpture. The exhibit captures the powerful energy of our NASCAR-fueled age and the roar of the crowd.
