On the Third Tuesday of this month (November 20th), Tanya and I have invited three people who've run P.R. campaigns using social media exclusively to talk about their experiences, what they learned, and what they wouldn't do again:

PHIL EVANS, Marketing Guy, 95Crave radio, Vancouver
When the popular Z95.3 radio station switched formats and name to 95Crave, they decided to eschew traditional media and do a full station launch using only social media. http://www.95crave.com/

STEVE PALMER, Design Leader, 76design, Toronto/Ottawa/Vancouver
Steve has been the design driving force behind a number of very cool Web 2.0 initiatives including their own "interactive corkboard," a media monitoring tool, and a one-stop software solution for musicians trying to manage and monetize their email lists. http://www.76design.com

JO-ANNE STAYNER, Vice President, High Road Communications
Jo-Anne has worked with companies across the entire tech spectrum ? from consumer software to wireless companies; start-ups to multi-nationals. High Road has an entire division devoted to social media (HRC Connect). http://www.highroad.com

The location will be The Shore Club (http://www.shoreclub.ca) at the corner of Dunsmuir and Granville. We have a very cool space reserved for us, but it only holds about 30 seated. I've made the cutoff for RSVPing 45 people, so this will be more of a reception/cocktail (re: standing) event. :)
