Originally formed in 2004 as a satellite of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago chamber music program, Third Coast Percussion has quickly established a strong commitment to the very highest performance standards for new music. In addition to performances of classic works by John Cage and Steve Reich, Third Coast has commissioned and premiered pieces by many of today's leading up-and-coming composers. This dynamic quartet is committed to breaking down barriers between classical and popular art forms, bringing fresh new sounds to venues from concert halls to theaters and clubs.
