Liberating Students Digitally, an open soruce advocate and user group at the University of Alberta, will be holding our third-annual Fall Installfest on September 15 and 16, 2006. This year, we've teamed up with the Undergraduate Association of Computing Science to use the CSC common area and make the event even bigger and better.
If you're interested in Linux or other open source software, but don't want to or aren't able to try it out on your own, this is a great opportunity for you to try out Linux and other open source software and even have it installed on your computer by our experienced installers. If you want an install done, all you need to bring is your tower - we supply keyboards, mice, monitors and speakers. We'll also have lots of free software to give away, and some displays and demo computers for you to learn from.
