Journal d’inquietude (Diary of Disquiet) is an extremely personal, emotional and humorous journey of re-discovery for choreographer Thierry Baë. Struck by the frustration and solitude of developing new dance works as the years pass, the challenge of how to get a work ‘seen’ and the limitations of an ageing body, Thierry sets out to create a new work in the face of a mountain of difficulties.
On his journey he encounters some of the greats of French contemporary dance, asking for their advice and assistance, and in the process moves seamlessly between the realms of fiction and reality. Funny and revealing, Journal d’inquietude tells it like it is in the tough world of the independent choreographer.
Meet the Artist: Friday 19 October. Free to ticket holders after the performance.
