The topic is "The Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction?" It will be a look at the evidence behind some of the amazing claims made in Dan Brown's bestselling novel. Was Jesus really married to Mary Magdalene? Did Jesus really father a child with Mary Magdalene? Is the person seated on Jesus' right in the Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting of the Last Supper really Mary Magdalene? Did the Emperor Constantine invent the doctrine of Christ's divinity in 325 and impose it on the Empire? Was Constantine the one who decided which books would go into the New Testament and which would not, thereby suppressing the earliest Gospels? Join Dr. Eric Plumer of the Theology Department for a discussion of these and other questions. For information, contact Campus Ministry (first floor Gunster Student Center) or call (570) 941 - 7419.
