Theatre IV presents this live production of Beatrix Potter's holiday children's tale. When a poppycock Mayor orders a cherry-colored coat for his Christmas wedding, the poor Tailor of Gloucester works his fingers to the bone. All goes well until the last button when the tailor runs out of silk thread. His faithful pet cat and all the mice that live in the shop come together on Christmas Eve (the one night in the year when all the animals are given the power of speech) and work feverishly to finish the coat for a miraculously happy ending on Christmas Day.
