The Department of Environmental Protection's Wakulla Springs State Park welcomes park guests to experience theatrical readings presented by the Palaver Tree Theater. The theater group's membership cuts across generational lines and its composition incorporates people of diverse backgrounds. Their entertaining presentations seek to connect people with their community by using material based upon their own regional heritage. This is a great way for families to experience the artful exchange of ideas just as some cultures do under the spreading limbs of a palaver tree. The only difference is that the spreading limbs will be substituted by the painted ceilings of the Wakulla Springs Lodge. Bring a family picnic dinner to follow the presentation or make reservations (850-926-0700) to enjoy the All-You-Can-Eat shrimp special for $12.99 per person beginning at 6:00pm in the dining room of the lodge.
