The YIPPEE YI YO SHOW LIVE returns Saturday December 13 at 2:00pm in the City Arts Center Theater at the Fairgrounds. This is not your usual Christmas show. It is about gifts and giving, but all the gifts in this rowdy hootenanny are not the kind of things you can buy at the local department store. There’ll be puppets, music, kids singing, kids dancing, kids in a rock and roll band, kids storming the stage, and our “Featured Act”, Buffalofitz.
The “Opening Act” of the YIPPEE YI YO SHOW is the dance students from Oklahoma City Public School, John Adams Elementary.
Our “Middle Act” is Hungry Music’s School of Rock’s first band, “Shades of Gray.”
And, of course, our “Headliner Act” is Buffalofitz. Buffalofitz has been described as “The energy of youth meets the traditions of folk. Bob Dylan met Hank Williams and they had a hyperactive kid.”
The show lasts about an hour but everyone is encouraged to come early and have an espresso drink and stick around after to meet the cast and performers and to play in the balloons and confetti.
The YIPPEE YI YO SHOW is directed towards children ages two to ten but kids and parents of all ages enjoy the magic of live theater and live music. The YIPPEE YI YO SHOW fills a unique and much needed niche in Oklahoma City. We bring the quality of entertainment to kids that is usually reserved for their parents and the quality of fun for adults that is usually only for kids.
Tickets are on sale now, $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Call 204-1845 to reserve tickets or purchase online at www.yyyshow.com
