Multiple sessions discussing the basics of writing. Topics will touch upon creation, editing, promoting, and fulfillment. Appropriate for both nonfiction and fiction writers of varying experience and publication goals. "The Write Side of the Road" originates in my personal writing advice articles I call CarPracs - practical writing advice as observed in my daily commute and taken from the cars about me on the roadways of life.
Session 3 is geared toward a general audience of writers of all ages, experience, and interests. Just as sentences are the building blocks of paragraphs, scenes are the building blocks of stories. This session will examine what each scene consists of – character(s), action(s), and dialogue – and what each scene must do – propel the story and entice the readers to come along. All writers will benefit from this discussion aimed at identifying the how and why of enticing, fulfilling, and keeping readers.
