Multiple sessions discussing the basics of writing. Topics will touch upon creation, editing, promoting, and fulfillment. Appropriate for both nonfiction and fiction writers of varying experience and publication goals. "The Write Side of the Road" originates in my personal writing advice articles I call CarPracs - practical writing advice as observed in my daily commute and taken from the cars about me on the roadways of life.
Session 2, though geared toward a general audience of writers of all ages and experience, is designed more for those interested in novel and short story writing. This session will be an examination of plot: hook, tone, conflict, promise, reward, and ending. Beginning and experienced fiction writers will benefit from this discussion aimed at discovering what today’s readers and editors want: stories that entertain and appeal emotionally and intellectually.
