Those that consider themselves aficionados of intelligent alternative music would likely find that a great majority of their favorite artists are represented THE WINDISH AGENCY. The nation, New York City in particular, owes them a debt of thanks for the incredible talent that they have installed in our venues. From a two-person company that began in 2003, Tom Windish has grown his organization to include 20 of the most important talent dealers in the country besides himself, serving hundreds of musical acts, DJ’s and comedians. Crowning the bill of their 2010 CMJ showcase at Santos is SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS, Brooklyn’s paradigmatic act for mystical, introverted pop music featuring Benjamin Curtis (ex-Secret Machines) and identical twins Alejandra and Claudie Deheza (ex-On!Air!Library!). Laced with trance and shoegaze tendencies, their initially catchy tunes offer something new with each listen. July 2010 saw the release of their sophomore album Disconnect From Desire of which Paster Magazine says, “Each track is a dynamic whirlwind; together, they’re captivating.”
