Mr. Toad, Ratty and Mole lead August’s “Theatre-Hikes!” Based on Kenneth Graham’s book “The Wind in the Willows,” the loveable characters from this classic tales will warm your heart and teach lessons about friendship. Visit the pastoral lives around the River Thames on the grounds of the Arb. Strolling musicians will liven things up and get everyone singing classic childhood tunes. Each theatre-hike presents a different scene at a new location on the Arboretum grounds. Audience members hike to each location to enjoy the unfolding story. Low-impact hikes (suitable for strollers, walkers and wheelchairs) are on the first Sunday of the month. All ages. Costs for adults $19 ($12 for Arboretum members) and for children $13 ($8 for Arboretum members).
