"This seminar will bring together interested parties in media, telecoms and policy making to discuss key themes emerging in Ofcom’s current consultation on the future of public service content and the possible role of the Public Service Publisher (PSP). This is a set of issues with immense potential significance for communications businesses, and for the cultural future of the UK.
Planned sessions examine the context for Ofcom’s proposals, including latest trends in TV viewing and usage of digital platforms as well as perspectives the evolving relationship between the regulator and the broadcasting/internet sectors. Discussions will look at new thinking on the nature of public service content (PSC), and ways it might be delivered, and at how the impact and success of the PSP might be assessed.
