The West LA FREE Summer Concert Series July 14, 2008

Skip the crazy crowds and come to west LA for a quaint night under the stars with plenty of room to dance, lay out your picnic or hang out with your dogs. Sponsored by Councilman Bill Rosendahl of Council District 11 and the West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, the free concert series will continue every Wednesday this summer starting at 7pm. The 1950s-style open-air band shell is surrounded by picnic style seating and open chairs.

The concert schedule is as follows:
July 16th AJ and The Full Spectrum Band (Jazz/R&B)
July 23rd Riders of the Purple (Country)
July 30th The Hodads (Surf)
August 6th Bobby Rivas (Salsa)
August 13th Brook and the Boys (Top 40s)
August 20th Oxalis (Irish)
August 27th SouthBound (Southern Rock Tribute)
September 3rd The Eric Ekstrand Ensemble (Big Band)

Free parking is aplenty and all community members are welcome to join in the fun. The Civic Center is located at 1645 Corinth Ave, behind the public library, and parking can be found at the Corinth Avenue & Iowa Avenue lot. Please visit www.wlanc.com for more details.
