WHAT: Candy (A J Davenport) and Dodo (Alex Alexander) were best friends at summer camp; 40 years later, Candy is a lesbian lunch lady and Dodo is running for President, although no one knows that Dorothy Adamson used to be nicknamed for such a strange bird. Along with a van full of quirky, loveable characters, Candy begins a quest to find Dodo, return a certain peach sweater, and remind the future Ms. President that we are all connected in the strangest of ways.
Like a modern-day Mr. Smith Goes to Washington¸ Dodo for President is funny, touching, and relevant. More importantly, it will inject some much-needed humanity into our political season!
