"One of our more memorable and well-known fundraisers, Shack-A-Thon, is an event in which we auction off spaces on Rudder Plaza for various student organizations to build shacks. The organizations then get to hang out at Rudder Plaza and join in the fun during the week. Not only does this serve as a great fundraiser, it also helps in educating people about poverty housing. Much of the fun of Shack-A-Thon is in constructing the shacks from donated materials. "
