The Walter O Evans Collection of African American Art June 16, 2012

Presented in collaboration with Jackson State University, this exhibition features forty works by renowned artists. African American artwork spanning 150 years is represented in this selection from prominent Savannah, Georgia-collector Walter O. Evans, who began acquiring art in the 1970s with the purchase of a Jacob Lawrence portfolio of silkscreen prints.
